Holding politicians accountable, not this election, but soon

The public has a notoriously short memory. Looks like it may get longer.

In a recent interview with the Financial Times Google CEO Eric Schmidt talked about the Internet’s next effect on politics – holding elected officials for what they have said and done in the past. This, he says, will affect the course and outcomes of elections. (The first major impact has been on campaign financing.)
